Joint statement from the Diocese of Joliet and Benet Academy

Representatives from the Diocese of Joliet, the American Cassinese Congregation of Benedictines, and the board of directors of Benet Academy met extensively this past Monday and Tuesday to work in collaboration on maintaining the school’s Catholic identity and establishing a new governance structure. Benet stands as one of the premier Catholic, college-preparatory educational institutions located in the Joliet Diocese. All parties involved are committed to finding a path to safeguard Benet's Catholic identity, Benedictine traditions, and its academic excellence.
